Founder's Note

Hey! I'm Dan Young. I'm an AWS Expert and professional educator, providing training and consulting to companies with cloud-native products in AWS. In my 10+ years in tech, I've enjoyed lasting relationships with all kinds of people from all kinds of companies. I've contributed to AWS Network Firewall at Amazon and Fuchsia OS at Google. I've also worked on other large and small distributed systems at Comcast, Capital One, and numerous small and medium startups.

As a software engineer, tech lead, and engineering manager, supporting the self-development of those around me has always been the part of my work that I've most enjoyed. In my time working for big-tech, I looked carefully at what helps Google or Amazon get so much value from their engineering teams, and am crafting eager to help other companies make use of these insights.

In a prior life, I was an elementary school music teacher in Philadelphia. In my current life, I live in Richmond, VA with my wife, where I still actively perform and record on the saxophone with my jazz quartet.
